PASS PLUS

Pass Plus is a scheme backed by insurance companies, the Government, and the Driving Standards Agency (DSA). It is designed to make you a better driver and help you avoid being part of a collision. The scheme can also reduce what you would expect to pay on insurance premiums – leaving you with cash in your hand.

It works on the basis that one in five newly qualified drivers will have an accident within their first year on the road. Further training will reduce your risk and save you money.

It involves more lessons in the form of six specially designed driver-training modules.

The modules are:
In town – helps you to deal with rush-hour traffic
In all weather – know how to cope with the perils of winter driving
Out of town – learn all about hidden hazards in the country
At night – reading the road in the dark
On dual carriageways – build your confidence in this environment
On motorways – develop your skills in observation, anticipation, planning and consideration

How it works

Don't worry - there is no test to take!

You have to achieve a standard on each module before the instructor signs the module off. Once all six modules have been completed the form is sent to DSA and a certificate is issued.

You can then begin to enjoy the freedom of driving while being safer and a little richer...
