Evaluation confirms 2008 campaign's effectiveness
Independent evaluation carried out at the end of the 2008 FMG campaign appears to confirm that it is an effective way to remind young people of the dangers they can face while driving.
The researchers visited 12 educational establishments where the campaign ran, and interviewed 357 students - some 30% of whom know someone who has been killed or seriously injured in a car crash.
92% of respondents agreed that the campaign is 'thought provoking and effective', while 88% said it was both 'memorable' and 'hard hitting', and 81% felt it was 'aimed at someone like me'.
The research company concluded: "On balance the 2008 For My Girlfriend campaign has been a success, with high levels of recall and good results for measurement statements."
