Two options for 2008 FMG campaign

For the 2008 FMG campaign, there are two creative options for road safety professionals to choose from.

The first is the previously used 'BLOKES' treatment, which was originally used in 2006 and has been re-worked and brought back back by popular request.

The second is the new BODYBAG option, which features a picture of a deceased young female in a body bag (the image is a reconstruction).

Both options have tested positively in informal focus groups, and are available in poster and Valentine card format as in previous years. The artwork can also be resized and supplied for use in other media options.

A new FMG radio commerical is also under production and will be available for the 2008 campaign, which will run on and around Valentine's Day.

The posters are ideal for use in educational establishments and pubs and clubs, and other places where young people frequent in numbers.

The Valentine card is most effectively used in educational establishments but is also suitable for use pubs and clubs etc.

Both creative treatments have been submitted to the copy advice team at the Committee Of Advertising Practitioners who concluded that: "Although they might be seen as distasteful by some, we feel they are unlikely to cause serious or widespread offence or undue fear or distress.

"We think some complaints may be received by the ASA, but we will advise the ASA of our belief that they are fine."

The closing date for orders is Friday 7 December 2007. Click here to download a price list and order form for campaign resources.
